Quarantine Creativity

I use to think I was an introvert but during all of this quarantine and isolation I realized that isolation is hard!! at first, I didn't mind the lock down.. I can stay home, work on the back end of my business, spend time with my son and help him with his school work, but it went on longer and longer and then we opened and closed again and holy shit this is hard!!

But their are things we can do for ourselves that bring a sense of fun, importance (because everyone wants to feel important) and community.

Here's a short list of things that can spark joy back into your life:

  1. Start a herb garden - Before the quarantine I never thought of myself as a green thumb, I couldn't even keep a mint plant alive...still have trouble lol... but its fun learning! And I love the routine I developed. Every morning I wake up, start my coffee then go outside to my little garden and water all my herbs and drink my coffee outside admiring them. It's so serene. It really is a form of self-care.

  2. Movie marathon - I love movies and I love a good tv show but sometimes I hate watching them because I feel like im wasting the day away, however, I am always down for a movie marathon. We watched all the Harry Potter movies. Next I would like to watch all the Lord of the rings movies and all of Johnny depp's best movies!

  3. Tiktok - Have you heard of it? it took me sometime to get on board with it but I love it! It's so much fun to learn a new dance or funny skit Dancing is a great way to get rid of stress!!

  4. ART!! - Adult coloring books give me anxiety lol but I like to watercolor. I just bought some paints and brushes and just went at it. you don't have to be an artist. I started nature journaling with my son so it was something we could do together and we got to spend sometime outdoors by our home journaling the plants and creatures in our are

  5. VIP Facebook group - Need a sense of community? Girl time? I have a private Facebook women's only group. I created this group for women to have a safe space to go to, to get inspiration, feel motivated, empowered and make new friends. Join here
